We've never had a problem with rental strollers or our own being taken. We tie a bandana or grocery bag or something on it. Disney will replace your rental with another stroller free. Keep your receipt.

You are correct Maureen there is a strict policy about locking strollers to fences, poles or other park fixtures. The main reason is safety. if an attraction has to be evacuted or the stroller is staged along a parade route castmembers need to be able to relocate them quickly and easily. The policy is if the Guest has locked a stroller to one of the above mentioned locations we will wait, however if we are unable to locate the Guest or it needs to be moved immiediatelt the lock will be cut, and your stroller moved.

Also please remember when you are using a rental stroller leave the bonnet up so the name can be easily seen, in a sea of rentals some Guests just grab the "green one".

If your stroller is indeed taken PLEASE provide as much identifiable information as possible as this will greatly increase the chances of recovery.

If you wish to use a lock and you have spoked wheels run the lock through the spokes, this is equally effective and the stroller can still be moved.

Also people have suggested the more you "personalize your stroller the less of a target it is. Ballons, rags, chem sticks etc.

Lastly we take every theft of a Guests property seriously and personally and we make every effort to reunite them both.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Disney has a strict policy AGAINST locking your stroller up. My friend was threatened to be escorted out of the park if she was caught doing that. They need to be able to move strollers on a whim for parades, crowds, etc. Also, we just had a double BOB stroller stolen, so please be aware....

I really like the bike lock idea to lock up the stroller. You can also lock up your backpack or diaper bag when you lock up the stroller. I always carry a small purse on me that holds our money, I.D., etc. But locking both the stroller and bag is a fantastic idea...Thanks for posting that:)

I don't think you should leave your bag tied to it either. People are just too tempted to take things.
